What Do You Do In The Winter?

The weather here is up and down all winter long, Sunday it was 78, Monday it was 29. So you may not ride for 2-3 weeks at a time at the very most.

During that time I catch up on my project, 79 Toyota pickup frame and axles with 88 body and drivetrain.

Do the mods to the bike that I can't get done in a evening during the summer, cam swap, ecu flash etc.

And save for big summer activites, like the trip to pikes peak in june, the fz8 forum meet-greet

Why I pick winter to freeze my butt off in the garage is beyond me
because it's much more fun to ride in the summer. do yourself a favor and get a kerosene heater and run it wide open. you'll stay warm. you might even smile a little bit from the fumes!

I've got a heated shop at work worst case scenario I'll take the bike up there (in the back of the truck of course)

The toy has a lot welding left on it so that'll keep me warm.

Well I went out in Switzerland last week and my hands got so cold that they stopped hurting. I definitely can't vlog in winter there :(

i remember when it took my msf course, mother nature decided to go full winter on me after being reasonable for a few weekend. i think the highest it got was 30*f. i went for fast food during our lunch break and i remember thinking "wow my feet must not have gotten cold because they never started hurting!" about 30 minutes later they finally started getting warm and it felt like they were in a throbbing vice. then i had to go back out and take my test with giant flakes hitting my glasses.

the next weekend (which i was originally signed up for, ironically) it was in the 60's.

Snow or just the cold isnt the big thing, ive ridden a few years in snow and its easy as you know its there. Its the black ice that scares me.

That always a good idea. I am in the middle of rebuilding my 1967 Camaro and going to order new panels for my bike

Only been a less than handful number of days in past two years I have been unable to use the bike for commuting. Wondering when we are going to get a bad winter. I look like Michelin man at the moment, but am warm enough. Biggest problem is hands. Two pairs of gloves and muffs on the bike and still the windchill is amazing and annoying on a 30 minute commute.

I still ride in the winter. It gets as low as 25 Fahrenheit (about -4 Celsius) here in the cooler months, but I just can't stay off of her. :) Although, riding in the winter may be the reason my odometer broke...

I just bought some Sealskins extreme winter gloves which are desgined for extreme weather situations, abit less protection that a motorcyle glove but hopefully alot warmer :0

sure but its only a 600 so it tops off around 90...my old 800 would do just about 120 but that had a few things done to it
