What Camera?

What's this button thing all about  ???

On my first one the button was hard to push, but it worked fine. It had an artifact in the lens so I got it replaced for free (geek squad plan). My second one worked great, the button was silky smooth. But then it became hard to push, the plastic probably got tired or something. The rear door was replaced and it worked fine again. I don't know if I'll get the same problem again. If so I am out of warrantee, and am going to need to figure something out to turn it on and off remotely with my phone.

The new 4k one has a button on the top, that will probably work better. Funny is that their original one, the AS15, still works with no problems. Even in recent history they don't build them like they used to.

Unfortunately they don't make things like they used to anymore now-a-days ~_~ .....

I said something... the button is becoming hard to push again. I feel I will be going to best buy again and see what I can do to get it fixed. I really think the as100v is a dud in the design department. Granted I press that button a lot, but I did the same with the as15, and had 0 issues with that camera.

Yea, but I didn't know if this was an all-around, well known defect or something :p . I just got mine today and that button is hard :o ! In the first generation waterproof case, it's actually easier to push than the AS-10, but outside... yowzers >< !!!

Whatever you can afford actually, ive had the Sony AS-15 Setup thats about $130 (camera, mounts, mic) and it was a piece of cake. No troubles at all. And now i have the Hero 3 PLus Black Edition thats looks amazing honestly, but ever since i got the cam, its been hell :/ it freezes at times

And they're coming out with their own camera...

is it called the iActionCamera 10 + ? is it also priced at £1500 and looks like a Curvy GoPro?

The TCL SVC200 is awesome... no complaints apart from when the waterpoof case is on you can access the microfone jack or charging port.

What cameras can be used with the waterproof case AND an external mic?
Drift HD170... :p my old camera :D had a rubberized rear case which had special slits in it to allow the wire through :)

I think im gonna drill through the case and put some sealant in it once the wire is through and then just always use my waterproof case :)

Even tho i own a GoPro Hero 3 Plus, id have to say that the Sony Action Cam AS15 is wayyyyy more reliable than any other camera ive tested. I dont have to have my fingers crossed everytime i turn it on, unlike the GoPro

That sounds like a great plan. I will try and get my hands on another waterproof case, maybe the one with the flat lens for scuba use, and simply drill a hole in my current case.

Thats what i said :p they are good quality products but over priced :p
Id say gopro..
Hear me out:
had a drift 1080 good quality for price etc
in the long run a gopro is all you will ever need.
More video settings then you can shake a stick it, Massive mic options,
Great placing options on you're helmet
and LOADS of accessories
there are my findings after recently upgrading
Hope you find it helpful :)
(I have a hero 3+ black edition)

Also can get a phone app to control it and comes with a remote if you dont have a smart phone

Well, for helmet mounting, everything you have said applies to Drift surely? Not sure how many video options you actually really need. Choice or resolutions, frame rates and a night/day option...

As for mounts, I can fix a GoPro to my Drift mount and vice-versa very easily.
