What Camera?

The AS15 has overheating problems here in Texas, 30 minutes tops, and it's gone behind the windshield. That black just soaks up the rays. The AS100 does not have that problem due to it reflecting the rays (white). But, the AS100 has a shit record button. I have resorted to using my phone to start and stop it. It's actually faster than trying it via the cam. I don't even have to look at my phone either, I just reach for it, feel the case and press blindly. Boom, turns on and off. It does take away from the battery-life due to wifi being on, but it still made it home today, after an hour and a half in traffic (which is a-typical). Pretty nice feature, that wifi control. And my iPhone4 was boss too, still had 38% left starting from 100. Nice!

Get a GoPro Hero2. Its setup is easy and they're cheap because they're older. Has an actual mic jack instead of the usb adapter you'd need to buy for the newer ones.

Like a few people have said go with the Drift HD Ghost. I picked up mine with a 32GB memory card and mic for under $250.

As usual everyone recommends something different (normally what they have bought) so you have to do your own research and decide what's right for you.

I have the Sony AS15 and yeh, it heats up a lot. If you use the waterproof case it will fog on you in cold weather.
I ended up doing the "drill holes" case mod and fogging seems to be solved.

Still, its a good cheap entry

Well, I ended up putting my own money where my advice was, and have taken delivery of my own TCL SVC200.

I'll hopefully be getting out tomorrow and give it its first use 'in anger', as it were, but first signs of getting it set up look promising.

Watch my YT channel in the next few days for an update..... ;)

Man I still rock the Original Gopro Hero , never shuts off by it self. Footage is good , lets face it we making motovlogs not motion pictures unless your like baron von grumble.... only thing is you have to use something for audio.......I dont know how to upload my pics to show my set up..

But i have voice recorder and mic Velcro to back of helmet... same set up as accident broadcast!!!

I live in Thailand man , plenty of beautiful scenery and ladies. But the Original Gopro Hero works for me .... I can shoot 1080p but I only upload 720p on youtube anyways.

I see no reason to get a Gopro 4 yet, I dont even know anyone that has a tv that supports 4k.........Only upgrade I will do for NOW is get a hero 2 so i can ad my mic.......

No point getting the newer GoPro's. The battery life gets worse with every version even at the same settings.

Buy an external audio device like a Zoom H2N if you're happy with your video quality. The audio quality will be far better than from any camera, and you can use it no matter what camera you buy in the future.

You can also click on the link in my signature :)

What's the name of your channel so I can check it out too? Thailand is a stunning country and I want to see more vlogs from there.
