Hi @dandoolittle , hi everyone!
I just joined this forum as I bought myself a Drift Ghost 4K and I hope to get to know the camera a bit quicker by learing from the expertise I'm guessing to find here.
I'm a dutch dude living in Zurich, Switzerland. My ride is a 2017 BMW R1200 GS Adventure.
I actually have no intention of becoming a vlogger. In fact I simply wish to be able to get through the next winter reliving my rides from months past.
To illustrate my complete lack of technical stuff: I've yet to find out what 4K means (in terms of video). Or all the other possible settings for that matter.
But hey: just started!

Hi @Tank welcome to the forum. Hopefully you will find all the information you need on here. :)
As for the 4k, that is the cameras maximum resolution, and it will look nicer than HD or 1080. It will use up your battery and memory card faster though.
Most people record in 1080 at 60fps as it takes up less storage space and still looks good, but there is a very noticeable increase in quality at 4k :)

Thanks @HippoDrone for making me feel welcome!
And for the infos on 4K. The 10 or 11 takes I've made so far (predominantly to try and get the sound right, resulting in buying an external microphone -> happy now!) were all in 1080 at 120fps.
To be honest: I'm not that thrilled with the image quality... Almost making me feel a bit nauseous watching it.
And when daylight's just gone, the video looked like being taken during the darkest night ever..!

I'm going to try out the other settings..
Cheers!

120fps is really only for if you want to do slow motion shots, 60fps would be better (and allow a nicer image when in lower light, 30fps is best for dark lighting). The image stabilisation on a lot of cameras can cause a bit of "seasickness" to viewers. Where are you mounting it?

I'm so sorry for not having answered your kind inputs! I've changed the fps and it's indeed much better now.
Thanks!!
Although.. I have to admit I haven't actually been filming that much anymore. Just riding and riding and totally forgetting to mount (or even bring along) the cam. When I do use it, it's mounted to the right side of my helmet.

Riding is what it is all about, I got accused of being all that is wrong with bikers these days because of my camera setups! hahaha :D
