Vegas 12 Rendering woes

So I put together a 12 minute clip of my helmet setup and what not. Set Vegas 12 to render it at 1920x1080 30p. Wake up in the morning and the clip goes from high quality to crap at different points in the clip. The clip properties look right and the file properties are about 10Mbps data rate for an MP4 file.

I am re-rendering a new clip at 8 Mbps in WMV codec. I am hoping it was may computer accidentally going into different power saving modes during the rendering process. I maxed out my power settings again and let 'er rip. It takes about an hour per 8 minutes to render.

Here is the first clip in all of its mixed quality glory.

Any tips?

My PC Setup

Asus G74SX
i7 2670QM 2.2 GHz
16 GB 1333 MHz RAM
64-bit Win 7 Ultamite
1 TB HDD (500GB x2)
Nvidia GTX560m

I just export my drift footage in an mp4 format. Can not tell much difference before and after editing...
1080p 30 fps aswell....(but i record in 720p)

Try different formats...
What i did is get a 10 sec clip and render using different formats.

It all depends what size/format footage you use.

Seems to me that your computer is doing something that's eating up rendering power. I've exported in both MP4 and WMV with no issues in quality losses like you describe. The MP4 is a little clearer, and a little larger, but that's the only real difference. Our systems are pretty similar too, so I doubt it's a hardware issue. Try customizing the export profile, if it's set to variable bit-rate (VBR) then that may be part of the problem. Rendering to a higher bit rate than the original file is relatively pointless, so check the file properties and look at the bit rate that is specified within, and go maybe 1Mbps higher just to cover yourself.

I'm hoping it was just a power setting issue throttling the rendering.
The video was shot with my iphone 4s so it may be 1080 but its 30i instead of 30p.

I have to play with the ghost video and vegas. I may do a caged vlog about the lack of mindful drivers in my area.

Here is render take 2...away from my computer for the of the day. Fingers crossed.
