Brilliant! So it's not all bad!

Mrs Man Cam is quietly disapproving. She's happy if I'm happy. And she's always keen to watch the videos first. But she has zero interest in getting on the bike and she almost always watches the vids with a bit of a grimace, and sometimes the odd 'tut' can be heard!!

The feeling I get, when I drop down to second for a tunnel, pin it, and come out the other side with my girlfriend giving me an approving squeeze simply cannot be beaten. Everyone should experience that moment with a loved one in their life.

Have to say, the accents in Switzerland fox my piss poor French and German, I can't understand either at all other than one bar maid in Zurich...

The French should be fine, but they don't speak German in Switzerland so that won't get you very far.

Speak loads of German (well Swiss-German) up North, Basel, Zurich, never heard a word of French, only found that in the West of the country (Geneva, Martigny)

Swiss German is so different to German though, and nearly impossible to learn as you can't write in the language!

I get bits of it as it's more of a dialect, and the accent on the words I do understand is WAY different. I struggle in parts of Austria with dialect and accents.
