To earplug or not to earplug

I never wear ear plugs, cannot stand them. I think that I have small weird shaped ears because when my wife wears hers, she says they block out all noise pretty much. But I can never get them in far enough to block out much and then they fall out easily. I have tried lots of different types over the years, never with any luck, so i just do not bother any more.

I ride with a friend who swears by them while riding though. He never rides without them, we communicate via headsets and he can still hear me perfectly with them in. Got me beat!

I saw a stand at the motorcycle show last year where they mould ear plugs to the shape of your ear right there and then. I might have to go back again this year and try them. If they do not work, then I will give up trying forever!

Have a look at the ones i have just shown they are brilliant, i have odd shaped ears too and these were perfect! the box comes with different sizes so you can pick ones that suit!

I see that they are readily available iin the UK, but I will have to do some research to see it they are available in Australia or not. Might have to get some shipped! They look pretty cool, I have tried similar styled ones before, but they were not comfortable. They were only cheap nasty plugs though, these ones look much better!

I always wear ear plugs...one day I stopped at a store and took them out but forgot to put them back in after getting back on the bike and during the first 30 seconds I was trying to figure out what is going on with my bike, why is sounds so loud....needless to say it was not a very enjoyable 2 min before pulling over to put them back in.
