Hi guys, i'm in need of some advice. i have made a very short time lapse, only 27 seconds! (It's just a test video) shot on the drift HD there are 900 pictures at 9MP only taking up 3.9Gb of space i used Windows Movie Maker to produce the time lapse but when i try to save it as a movie it says not enough space. i have about 100Gb left on my hard drive so i'm confused. i save it as "recommended settings: for computer".

has anyone got any advice for saving/making a time lapse?

thanks CtP999

Sounds like it's glitching out to me, I know it's the cliche but try switching it off and on again, it might work after a restart.

But seriously in the long run it's best to get some better software than WMM, for only about £30 you can get a decent one :)

iv already tried that :| thanks for your advice tho. As for paying for software i'm gonna learn to ride first i'm a proper newb/pleb on my bike (only ridden 5 times :} )

I've used WMM before for time lapse videos and it hasn't been a problem. Have you actually shortened all the time the images are played for to get the time lapse effect? Plus rather than save for computer, you want to save it for the internet. Look on youtube for recommended file settings.

Are you sure it's complaining about disc space and not RAM?

Also, note that full HD is about 2MP, so if you are planning on the end result being no more than that, it might be worth making a copy of the originals at that resolution (if you're able to do a batch processing job) and working on those as the memory requirements and rendering times would then be much less. Don't lose the originals, though, in case you need them again!
