Re: Just some news for you all.. 30 secs long

glad to hear that it's all sorting itself out :D and as I said on the vid, congrats! the pitter patter of small biker feet is near! :)

Re: One of those OH SHIT moments

I had much the same thing last week on the A14, no faster than 70mph and a gust hit me from the left whilst in the LH lane. Bike nearly went out from under me (felt like it anyway, lol) it was a struggle to stay in my lane!

Re: One of those OH SHIT moments

gets even worse when theres no central reservation, the other day i was dam near blown into the path of a lorrie comeing the other way at 60mph, for me the wind also gives me problems getting on the road in the first place as it always seem to blow my shed doors closed as soon as i try to push my bike out of it :?

Re: One of those OH SHIT moments

I prob shouldnt have chuckled when I read about your shed :p
It must be worse on a little bike, theyre nowhere near as heavy as my Tiger for instance.

Re: One of those OH SHIT moments

I found that letting the wind "blow the bike from under you" works really well.
its hard to explain..

its like your letting the wind counter steer for you..

say a gust of wind hits the bike from the left.. you let the wheels drift left, your body being centered.. and you are already leaned right into the wind.. its kind of weird feeling it. but it keeps you tracking straight.

The er6 isnt too bad, although a bigger bike would be even better, it was much worse when i was still on a 125cc and before that it was pretty much suicidal on a little 50cc moped, there were a few times when that thing felt like it was about to take off

Re: Intro Videos good or Bad?

When I find a new Vlogger I usually watch several of their videos in succession, just to get an idea as to their style. If the intro is any more than 10 seconds it gets really tedious and I'm more likely to unsubscribe. Outro's are a good idea though, you can chose to stay or go without missing any of the vlog.

Re: Intro Videos good or Bad?

I agree.. if you want to do a long into for special vlogs and such ok.. but you normal vlog intro (if you have one) should be short and not annoying.

I am working on a new one now and I would like it to be under 8 seconds... looks like it will be about 10 seconds though. the hard part is finding music/sounds to go with it.

Re: Intro Videos good or Bad?

I've come to the conclusion that a lower third style is the way forward maybe... well that's what I'm planing in the near future.

8 or 10 seconds is a looooong time... 3 or 4 seconds is by far enough.

Re: Doing the Monkey!

The mental image of expelling molten lava from the backside is never a pleasant thought.

Leaves the rear raw and tender for days. Gotta be careful with those peppers. Creepers are the worst...the ones that taste mild at first and build in heat as you eat them and then it's too late...

Re: Doing the Monkey!

hey Thunderous, I can definitely sympathize with that ordeal, sounds rough :|. Hope you had some ice to cool the lava pain

Nowadays, I eat chilis pretty much every day, before this i used to have experiences like yours :( , but now, living in Thailand, its part of almost every food here, so i eat them with nearly every meal. I just picked up some fresh ones at the market yesterday. Hopefully the pic doesn't give you nightmares :o

Hehe don't get me wrong I still love chilli but I'm stearing clear of it for a while ;)

Stick to the tame sweet peppers instead.
