Things You Won’t Do While Vlogging

In my short experience so far:

- zipping up my jacket
- waving to a passing rider deep into a serious turn
- rev high near cops
- rev high near homeless people/encampments

Good points, but i wanna hear what happened when did a high rev near a homeless camp.

Though it's tempting, adjusting my mirrors while riding is another one for me.

I find that doing the motovlog is the LEAST important thing while on the bike, if anything comes up, such as sudden vehicle lane change, intersection, traffic light stop, etc, all that is more important to focus on than yapping for the vlog sake.

Why is it not OK to rev bomb cops while motovlogging? You get to record them chasing you and arresting/give you a fine, which is what people want to see happen, right?

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you ... SighBored, genuine badass rebel.

Okay, now you have to do that and show the footage.

I don't worry about turning my camera on and off. I have the GoPro Hero4 Black and I have the one button power on and record setting on. I hit the button and listen for the beeps to tell me its started!

as far as things I don't do while motovlogging, I ride like I normally do and put minimal effort into the camera most of the time. I talk and share my experiences, but I'm really focused on the ride and making sure that I'm riding safely. I have seen big-time motovloggers have some close calls because they were paying more attention to the camera. Thats my biggest thing.

Other things I don't do while vlogging:

1) Listen to music or audio (I find that as one too many distractions with the camera running and I don't want a copyright strike)
2) Illegal stuff. I'm a motorcycle safety instructor and I don't want my coworkers seeing that I don't ride how I teach. I'd also like to keep my driving record as clean as possible.
3) curse. I do my best to keep it family friendly and it makes me uncomfortable to say bad words on camera.

For me the list is pretty much been said:

Nothing incriminating,
No swearing (unless for a special occasion)
I often times, listen to music but not while trying to record my thoughts. if im just going for visuals then i play music.

I just did a vlog where I said a--hole, and a--hat a few times. If they can say it on TV then I will too, but I try not to drop any F-bombs or worse.

After watching my last couple videos, apparently the thing I don't do while vlogging is deactivate my turn signal. I feel like I never forget when I'm not filming, but apparently it takes all my available brainpower to keep my mouth moving and there's none left to push the button after I turn.

There's not really anything I wouldn't do vlogging that I wouldn't do on the bike in general really. I don't do anything crazy haha

I think motovlogging in it's essense (most people define as talking while riding), to be very dangerous, and that's why most of my videos are not doing as such.

i think talking while riding to be very distracting and unsafe

is it as dangerous as talking to a passenger in a car you are driving? :-)
