I seen this today and thought 4k 60 frames, check then went straight to see if it supported external mic and yes it looks like it does.

Price doesn't seem too bad either.

Aye, hopefully the USB-C to 3.5mm jack isn't like the GoPro abomination!

Agreed if its just an adapter that a market they should be able to win from GoPro.

I think it will be given the other products they make don't use any stupid stuff like that.

It looks promising. I watched The Verge's video and it looks good. That adapter whilst it isn't as big as the GoPro adapter still is it that hard to put a 3.5mm audio in on a camera

That adaptor on the DJI site states it is only for the Osmo Pocket, there is no listing for the Osmo Action. It is £35 in the UK, which is expensive, but the GoPro abomination is £50.

For me I love the mounting system of the Drift. I'm still using a second Ghost S and was going to go to the 4K or X for its small size and cast but with all the issues both cameras have had meant I have stuck with the S. Sure it's a bit bulky but it just slips in and out

Although i love the looks of the Drift.
And for example even the Sony's.
Just because it can be easily mounted etc.

I'm very curious to this camera.
It has a turnable camera, so Drift lost that advantage.
Is has 4K 60fps, so GoPro lost that.

And it does the extra stuff that can be great fun, like timelapse and slowmo.
The front screen isn't that important to me, and can't hopefully be turned off.

Curious about battery lenght, that is where it could all fall into pieces.

The GoPro Hero 7 Black does 4k/60 and has timewarp too. I do believe the double screen is switchable on the DJI.
Haha... @chrisw959 none of the modern GoPro cameras can beat that either... is why I strap a powerbank to my helmet! :D

But the Drift can ;)

I still need to find a proper way to attach mine.
Mainly location wise.
The Nishua doesn't have to much room on the back side ;)

I quite like how my setup is on my Nishua, the powerbank on the rear compensates for the camera on the chin which keeps it quite well balanced :)

I actually ordered the DJI Osmo Action but returned it before they could ship it lol. The major turn off for me is that it doesnt have a wider field of view in comparison to gopro superview.
I need a wider FOV because I like my chinmount, im not willing to change up and gopro has more options so Im sticking with them. Looks like an awesome camera though, I watched Peter McKinnons comparison to the gopro hero 7 black

It's nice, but....

When I first looked at it, I also thought about the external mic.

You need to buy the Osmo adapter, it turns out that simple/normal/generic Type-C->PL3.5 just doesn't work.
Yes, it's a good cam
but I really think that they MUST stop with this proprietary-over-priced-adapter thing.
