Suggestions On Exhaust?

So as some may know, I got my bike "new" but it's had a previous owner who had it for about 1k miles and added an R77 exhaust with a few other things. Dealership put me down as an owner of this "new" bike...even in the paperwork, but it's clearly had some issues now that I've been learning more about the details of the bike and what should be happening.

For one, this exhaust I thought was a slip on, but it seems some hack did a horrible job of welding the pipes and let them rust without any coating. I had a feeling it was too loud and i had an exhaust leak so I looked under while doing an oil change recently to find this.

Shift lever was also clearly bent to the point of just hitting the rod at the inner part so it was not as smooth as it should have been. After taking it off it seems the bike was dropped on the left side as the lever is all torn up and bent out of place. My guess is they replaced all fairings and buffed it up like new forgetting the shift lever...

Now the main issue is what should I do with the exhaust? I have a warranty on the bike, but does that mean they have to repair this exhaust free of charge or something? I want to get as much info as possible before dealing with this dealership/shop as they've not been all that great to me in the past as far as giving me a great bike from what I can tell.
Photos of the exhaust system attached.

What kind of warranty are you talking about? If manufacturer warranty, they probably won't cover the aftermarket exhaust or the "custom" weld jobs, only OEM pipe and exhaust might be covered. If you are not happy with the pipes, you can probably either get new set of pipes (full system perhaps) or get an exhaust specialist repair or make a set for you..

yeah, been working with TPS over the phone and they confirmed the bike is not new, paperwork had an issue on it and was corrected, but previous owner only put 922 miles on it so not bad.

Anyways, warranty only covers stock components and service outlined in the manual. They did however agree to help clean up the exhaust to remove that rusted spot so I could coat it with some high temp ceramic paint to prevent future rust. Eventually I'll probably get some stainless headers for this bike and install that in place if the exhaust is a continued issue.

At this point they're just being nice being it's out of warranty repair. I'm limited to what I can work with powertools wise as I'm at an apartment without outlets outdoors.

Looks like they've stuck on a slip on can but couldn't find the correct link pipe?

Not sure why they wouldn't have used the correct link pipe! What bike is it?

Rather than fixing it, get new headers and de-cat it?

yeah I most likely will have someone weld it better. For now the dealership shop says they are going to work on it for free and straighten the shift lever out. My guess is they will just wire wheel it.

Well dealership did very minimal work, didn't take the exhaust off, didn't hit it with a wire wheel, they just got an angle grinder and lightly ground it down worrying that it would have an exhaust leak and left it at that.
So well done for a shop that called me saying if they were gonna fix it, that they were going to do it right...
