Sub for sub swap on YouTube

Evey little
Makes sense plus think about how everyone on this forum who is truly active subs to others already. It is like a mutual interest exchange of ideas.

Just curious and you do not have to answer but how many members do you consider being active? I ask because some seem to fall off every now and then. Some folks may need about 800 or so subs increase to hit the mark.

I still watch . I just have a bad habit of not commenting or liking. You're one of the main vloggers I watch

As a content provider, think how you feel with a small comment. Shows you actually watched and a nice thing to do.
I watch a ton of videos, for entertainment, education, DIY etc... I don't comment or like as much as I view. I think it is ok. When I do comment it is because something hits home, resonates, or I actually want to interact. Mostly I am passive in my viewing.

Saying anything (well almost lol) is better than nothing, at least a thumbs up is encouraging.

being passive is lazy in my opinion. That isn't a dig, I just think that if someone has entertained you for 10min ish then they deserve a like and a comment at least. I am sure you'd like your channels to grow, they only do that when folk interact with your content.... so why should they bother if you don't? Don't get me wrong, if you don't enjoy the content of someones channel then no point liking it.... but also no point subbing or watching their content.
If folk don't interact that means to me that they don't enjoy the content. Growing a channel is a 2 way thing, give back to the community what you would like to recieve! :)

I do try to do that.
On bigger channels i'm more easy to skip a comment, like somebody is actually gone read 1500+ comments..

But on the smaller channels i always try to comment, but if i don't have anything usefull to say, i don't say anything at all. I can still like the video, so a like is a good way to show that, with out writing anything down.

I’ve picked up a few subs on here and try my best to sub back (as long as I can see who did it). I see it that it costs nothing to do so and I’d like to think the encouragement is as motivating for others as it is for me

I dont have many subs yet but the ones who sub I sub back. Youtube and peoples channels have gave me alot of entertainment over the years so why not?

I understand why people dont but if it is a relevant content channel then I do.

Yes I know it's a bad habit, I'm getting better though

The nature of my job is to critique people's work, so writing a comment is something I really like to do. I know how much work goes into making a vlog so I try to show my appreciation of someone I'm subbed to by writing a comment and hitting the Like button. For the bigger channels I may not always do so (anyone over a 1000 subs), but for someone who is growing there channel like me I'd like to do all I can to help.

A little "humor" . . .

sub 4 sub is a toxic environment, it offers nothing for a channel other than fake numbers. Folks should sub to channels they enjoy or have a connection with, if you care not for the channel or the creator then no point subbing.

Yeah, we covered that but of yours what percentage actually interact?

I try to aim for 100% of those I sub to. Lucky me, I can play vids on my device while tapping away at the boulder at work.

Soz for micro rant... I'd had a beer or two and a frustrating day lol.
Aye @R-Rated my subs vs views don't come close generally and it is something that I want to improve on.... But not in a way that has me create content for the audience rather than content I want to make! :-)

I got 3-4 messages like that, two of them were exactly the same ending with "Let's be YouTube friends!"

Yeah, creepy.

I am referring to a small creator subs to me and I get notified because they publish their sub list public. I check their channel and sub back. Nothing is said out in the open...it is like this - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professional_courtesy

I have found some really good small creators that way.

I have really enjoyed meeting a number of you on YouTube that I would have never otherwise encountered. So I'm happy for this thread and for the effort the creators put into their work.

I think this is the secret. Not all viewers are created equal. Some will tune in occasionally. Others will voraciously devour everything you post. Make what you like and the audience which appreciates your content will gravitate to you.

I can assure you all, i occasionally watch (at best.. skim through) and always leave a thumbs up. But unfortunately.. because i watch through my TV it's just impossible to leave a comment every-time. When i do wtach it on the PC i do .. :)
