Software for netbooks

Hey guys, my main computer which i had my sony vegas on has gone bang! So at the moment im using my netbook. I have a video which id like to edit, I have a program called video spin but it wont let me import a mpeg video unless i buy and activation key (and im a cheap bugger). So does anybody know a program which will both let me edit mpeg videos for free and works on a netbook (Or if anyone knows a keygen )

how about just using windows moviemaker? all you need to do is install the K lite codec pack and you should be up and running.

I still use windows Live movie make and to be honest it has all i would ever need on it!
