We have a super fun awesome fantastic lockdown for more than a month now. A (dumb) group of bikers decided to break the lockdown and went for a ride, EACH one of them got a MYR 5000 (~USD 1200) fine.

I’m upgrading my motovlogging tech and accessories. I’m doing more group rides and my do a product review or two. I may also be looking at getting a new bike.

I need to do an oil change and valve lash check on the Hawk now that I've gone over 100 miles. Then I've got new bars, grips, and levers going on. Currently I'm mocking up a DIY rear rack for it made out of a plastic cutting board, haven't decided if I'll make a video for it or not but I drew it out last night.

It is in AZ in the summer. I really don't like riding above 105. I have to change my oil though, maybe I'll do something on that.

I'm trying to sneak in a motocamping trip one of these weekends, but one of my side hustles, event DJ, is actually picking up with more people being vaccinated in my area (we broke 60% fully vaxxed, but are still behind Vermont which is over 70%). I have a beach party this weekend and then a birthday party the weekend after to spin for. They are both Saturdays and I wil be done by 5pm, so I may sneak off after if I'm not to beat after lugging all of my equipment around which I am definitely not used to doing anymore!

Ooooh that sounds fun, seems like the majority of my planned videos are how to's and reviews...I gotta just get out and ride more!

I'll tell you. The logistics of filming on the road can be interesting. I'm working through footage from the other trip now. Some went awesome, some OK, some I missed things I thought I filmed. It will all work out, but it is not like filming a normal vlog when you are riding all day and camping.

I've always got several projects in Resolve awaiting my time to edit them. That's the benefit of riding from 32F to 110F... lots of chances to film.

I also have a new gear review/unboxing/test video to film & edit, and some other ideas of things I want to talk about or film.

I already have content scheduled 2/week into August, so I have to do thumbnails/details and my related blog posts. I also want to do some pic stops for The Gram, so there's that.

So that's what's next for Road Reality, plus whatever hairbrained ideas pop into my head next.

Family reunion weekend coming. Somewhat longer ride to get there. We had potential of 5 bikes riding there as a group. Currently that has dropped to 2. Darn young people making kids, switching to cars, not knowing what's best for them, pretending to be bikers

I finally got my new Insta360 One X2 set up in a manner which I am happy with! Now I'm going to go back and reshoot a bunch of motovlogs I had already filmed simply because I want the 360° footage in them too.

It's already July and I've got a long list of motovlogs I want to shoot to carry me through the winter!

That's why I stick to one video per week. It's much less stressful to me, and I don't want to make riding stressful!

Work has shot my trip plans square in the foot. I had a really cool multi day vacation planned in August, touring the waterfalls in northern Wisconsin and the UP. Vacation is effectively canceled. I think this summer is basically shot in the foot. Hell, I have vacation time in my bank left over from last year still that I haven't been able to use, and my entire bank from this year is untouched. I have enough time I could literally take a month off paid... And I can't farking use it.
