Sena 20s Audio Recording

So I have a GoPro Hero 3+ Silver with a sena backpack and a 20s. my question is, is it possible to record exterior audio (for instance when someone is talking to you at a stop light... is it as simple as putting the headset into ambience mode?

I'm guessing you are also using the GP10 backpack to link the two? If so, no. I have the same set up and with the two switches you can either record the mic from the Sena or the mic on the GoPro but if you try to use both it sounds like crap. I actually have the smh10R and the gp10 backpack not the 20s.

Yea I have the GP10 to backpack. So that sucks...granted UHD is awesome but I guess I'll have to subtitle all speech from people.

Maybe moving my mic outside my helmet instead of inside it when someone's around will work

Mine picks up others talking but if you want to have it in the video you would have to edit the audio and boost the sound while they talk. I have a road rage video that you can hear the dude perfectly from the mic in my helmet and he was in his car next to me.

Boost the audio of the other peoples voices? What program do you use? Audacity?

No I just meant boost the audio level in general. Not single out anyone's voice. I normally use Final Cut X but I just started using Premiere Pro again.
