Recording Audio On Phone With Sena 20s

I use an SJ4000 (kickass gift from a kickass brother) for my video recording. However as with all cameras, the wind noise from the camera mic is too high.

I recently got my hands on a Sena 20S. I figured that if I set the SJ4000 to not pick up audio, and instead overlap the audio recorded from the Sena 20S, I should be able to still make videos.

The challenge I'm facing now however is that the stock voice recorder app on my phone is picking up sound from the phone's mic, and not my Sena even though it's paired on bluetooth. Anyone know how I can fix this? Is it a Sena setting or a phone setting?

So I managed to download an app on my phone that records from the bluetooth. It worked!

The latest problem however is that the recording sounds a bit like I'm underwater. Muffled in a sense. It's either my voice (which I hope it isn't) or recording inside a helment. Do any of you face the same issue?

It might also be the app broski
God dammit.. I'm hoping that's not the case because if it is then I'm back to stage one.

I have a lapel mic. Do you know if the bluetooth on the Sena will work even if I have the lapel mic connected to my phone?

Yeah, an "underwater" sound seems like a compression issue with the app. Props for creative solutions! I'm looking forward to what you settle on.
