Matt - after this blows over, I think it would be a good idea to post up the "loading" video so everyone here will know how NOT to let their bike get strapped down.

After my wreck last April I helped the wrecker driver strap the bike down. I watched him for about a minute and realized he didn't exactly know what he was doing, so I hobbled up there and started telling him. It was a short ride to where we were going (5-ish miles) and I spent the whole time watching the bike in his mirror. I think the trucks suspension being so stiff actually works against us in these situations.

I agree. The strap lost it when we hit a joint on a small bridge, almost within site of my house, lol. I had discussions at length with both the tow driver and his boss about their inadequate methodology. Plus, the tow truck was towing a mini-truck, so the suspension had some wacky loading already.

Wow, Looks like you guys/gals had a really nice turnout. I really wish I would have found this forum sooner.(my fav vlogger linked here from a little drama that I'm sure needs not be mentioned) I'm only about 120miles away from The Hub and could have made it easy. Oh well assuming the 12/21/12 stuff is BS I'll be seeing everyone at the meet next year. By that time I should be actually motovlogging so you won't have to wonder who the hell the new guy is.

Well that is good reason too even though I should hopefully will be getting a bike within several months. Second is more of my location (West Coast) and third, difficult to find someone who would be willing to watch my mini me for about a week lol.

Who knows though, I'm sure of these days I will be able to go to the mid-state meeting. And no, I don't believe the whole end of world thing. The people related to the Mayans themselve think it is completely BS too
