Newbie alert...

Just wanted to say Hi...I don't have a channel at the moment as I'm still getting to grips with my camera (Sony AS100V). I've done a few solo rides with the cam running just to get the angles right and have ordered spare batteries and an extra sd card (have 2x64gb) now all I need is a mic that works with the camera. Any recommendations wold be gratefully received, but must have been tested with a Sony action cam!

Looks like you could try the purple panda lavalier. Based on the user manual.

Thanks for the recommendation...I'm not familiar with the user manual as it wasn't included when I bought the cam from an ebay seller. Where did you find it?

It was on the manufacturer’s website.

ok, thanks. I've ordered the Purple Panda, it looks quite comprehensive! If that fails I guess I must have been sold a pup as every mic I've tried seems to be incompatable. I wonder if there are settings in the camera that need adjusting?

Some cameras need a powered mic. I didn’t see that in the manual but it’s possible.

Ahh the purple panda mic. Sounds awesome but if you don't live in the USA don't plan on buying one.

I seen they had a sale on recently, was ready to buy 2 of them only to find they won't ship outside the USA.
So over to Amazon where they were at least twice the price.
