New forum member and motovlogger in Kansas. Kansas is known for it's straight, flat roads. Motorcyclists love straight, flat roads. People love videos of people riding on straight, flat roads....right? No? Well, shit. I guess you'll just have to settle for my ramblings.

My vlog will mostly be centered around cafe bikes, adventure bikes and backyard custom sportsters. I'm also pretty heavy into off-roading and overland travel, so those topics will most likely find their way. I posted an intro video and right away I noticed a few things I need to tweak. Mainly the camera needs to be angle higher and I have to figure out how to get rid of the popping noise in the audio once I start riding. Otherwise, I was pretty happy with the sound quality. I'm always up for constructive criticism, so let me know what you think.

Welcome along. There's a topic on here about removing popping noises, not sure it's any use to you;

To be honest, expecting people to watch almost 15 minutes of somebody they don't know is quite a big ask. Any way you can chop that down to under 5 minutes? You'll get more people watching and therefore more tips and advice.

You list a great assortment of topics which you are going to vlog about.

Thanks for the tips TriumfAnt. I had seen that thread, unfortunately I don't use that software. As I get more into this, I may have to invest in something other than iMovie. That intro video was more of an audio test and I wanted to get a wide range. The videos will most likely be 5 to 10 minutes long.

BTW, love your bike. Those Tigers are a blast to ride.

I use iMovie. There's times when I wish it would do some of the fancy tricks that the paid software does, but most of the time it's good enough. Content is more important than effects.

I forget if iMovie has an EQ or not... but if you have FCPX, you can make a compound clips or use single clips and EQ them. Usually the popping sound are in the higher bands, so that's the first placer to look (pull down the faders)...

Hope this helps a bit :) ~

Welcome my friend! If you have the source image for that header of yours on YouTube, I can take it and customize it for you quick so you can "fancy" up your channel a bit if you'd like

I think it will. Editing is pretty new to me, so it gives me a place to start. Thanks.

I may have to take you up on that. Right now the video is on my personal page. I have an empty Hooligan_SKC channel set up on YT. I'm thinking I should start using it instead of the personal one. Not sure if it really matters though. One intro video in seems like it would be a better time to make the switch vs. 10 videos in. lol

I'd post a link to the Hooligan_SKC channel, but I'm 5 posts shy of being able to post links

Well I am sure you will have your posts in no time, just let me know via PM or on here if you want anything I am always willing to help, all I ask is to check out mah vids :P as usual =]
