Much activity in Yorkshire?

There may be moves afoot to run the TDF Yorkshire stages at some point. Not my idea, but keep your eyes peeled in case the organiser wants some company

Went to Squires for the first time yesterday, and then today I found out that Route 59 cafe near Skipton (facebook link below) on the A59 does biker nights on Tuesday evenings 5pm to 8pm. A great evening, met a load of new people all willing to chat away, from Yorkshire and Lancashire. Loads of shaft-drive bikes, sports bikes, cruisers, classics, and adventure bikes. Been offered used-once leather saddle bags for my Virago for £40. Result!

Storming ride back, up and over Blubberhouses Moor with a full red moon shining down - shame my drift had run out of battery - and the bike ran rather well all the way up to the top of the Moor. Hopefully cruise through its MOT tomorrow.

Howdy guys.
I'm in a West Yorkshire Riders group set up through Whatsapp with Lurch, seems to work pretty well if you can put up with all the 'pings' when people are chatting.

Might be worth you guys wanting to keep regularly up on organised or shirt term notice rides, dropping someone your mobile number and get yourself in the group.

Have you got the details?

That does look like a good spot and he ride up that way is spot on. Might have to try that one out before the weather turns.

I also wanna try out the Manor Café up in North Yorkshire:
Unit S, Manor Farm, Bellerby, North Yorkshire DL8 5QH.

There's a number of ways to get to Manor Cafe, although I've never been there but got very close.

The route I would choose from Harrogate is through to Ripley, and just after take the Bishop Thornton road through to Kirby Malzeard, then on to Masham. Then carry on through East Witton and Middleham and up to the Cafe. This completely cuts out the main roads and is a fantastic ride, but you have to be careful on some of those roads.

Other great routes include Otley to Blubberhouses over the moor, then up Hardisty Hill to Stump Cross Caverns and on to Grassington. Then loads of options depending on how long you want to be out.

Best I did though was cutting across from Long Preston into Lancashire, over to Quernmore. Never realised UK still had roads like that, absolutely sublime.

All offer great stop-off points for a bite and drink

Ride over the Snake tomorrow morning if anyone is about. If anyone is free let me know and I'll post more.
