That was nice of you not spooking the horse plus it looked like you were warning traffic coming up from behind you.

About the stickers, years ago when I started my current job path a coworker had to talk to one of the doctors about a case. After they covered the issues, the old doctor asked my coworker for a sticker. The coworker did not realize the guy was referring to a label so he could claim payment for the consultation. Instead my coworker said, "Well Doc, I am out of gold stars but if you want I can draw you a smiley face."

That coworker did not last a year here...

So when someone mentions stickers, I snicker just a little.

Yeah, both the cars behind me I was flashing my brake light as it isn't hugely bright so it flashing makes it more noticeable (didn't want someone to run into me or the horse) and also the cars once I'd passed it. I'd rather not have to contend with horses on the road but have a huge love of the stupid animals and it would mortify me if I caused one to get spooked and injure itself!

I am not sure the co-worker's sense of humor fully had a chance to be appreciated. It is a really strange place where I earn a living. Lots of burned out employees mixed with prim donnas. I have offended a few of each over time. Best thing for newbie to do here is observe for about a year to determine who can be trusted then let their freak flag fly.

I think those are wise words for any job, but one where there are established characters even more so as there is always a pecking order!
