hey everyone,

Well im a Drummer my trade and i want to look after my hands, i know they're is no really way to make sure 100% that you wont ruin them when they are the first thing you put down when you come off your bike, i was looking at gloves and i think these ones look good, the thing is i am willing to spend a bit more money to know that they are a bit safer, i just want some feedback, do these look good?

Cheers!

Yeah they're nice gloves, but I just had a look and you can get them on eBay for about £130-140.

They look sweet :D Now you've got me thinking about gloves... mine only cost £20 but were only intended for when I first started to get used to the controls.

Haha, im useing some £50 ones and they do the job but i had a near miss the other day and it got me thinking about it all, im not sure whether spending more makes the difference, i will let you know when these gloves have come what they feel like, i ordered them today :)

Okay cool :) Hope they are worth the cash! they do look awsome. I'm looking to spend around £80 when I upgrade.

Haha i never really looked at them thinking about it, i was reading up on them, apparently they are good, just hoping the company are right and not just selling it all to me :P

Well reading the customer reviews (they look quite legit) you wont be dissapointed :) Also for £150 there must be some good quality there (kangaroo leather mentioned) ! Cant believe some guy is complaining that the cuff wont fit under his sleeve... why would you want to do that? surely your arm would freeze and your jacket would inflate like a drag chute!

Yea apparently Kangaroo Leather is good? :D lol yeah, i always put my glove over sleeve, not only that the amount of wasp and bugs i hit, i dont want any chance of them going into my jacket :P Overall i think your right these will be a good buy, lets just hope i never have to put them to the test :D

Actually I can see his point, on my textile jacket I like the gloves to fit under the jacket as the textile is bulkier and less fitted than the leather jacket I have. Personally speaking it makes no difference air wise whether the gloves are on the inside or out for me.

I can also vouch for Richa and RST. Good quality good value all round, and they both make some cool stuff.

I can say that sports bike shop are 100% legit, i always buy all my stuff from them and never had one problem with them, ive even been over to see them a couple of times, 1 thing i can say is they are extreamly customer focused they put your safety before their profit, every time ive been there i have been asked a 100 questions just so that they can get the correct gear for what i want, so dont worry about them selling to steep they wont rip you off matey.

All the best.

Simon

Thanks guys :D good to know there not just another company wanting my money, need something that will protect hands as much as possible, i think these will do it :)

Fair enough, I just imagined that air would go up your sleeves :P My £20 gloves are Richa and although cheap they have lasted pretty well since I got them and provide plenty of leather protection, just haven't got all the sliders and stuff on them. My Textile jacket is Richa too and has been brilliant, still looks new!

Hopefully i might be of some use here...
I own those gloves and i bought them from that company.
They are very cool gloves, although... things to bear in mind.
They have SPS (Scaphoid Protection System) Its a brilliant thing and very useful... although if like me you put your hands on your tank while stopped, or while manually maneuvering the bike, it scratches the hell out of your tank...
They are rather comfy gloves once you get used to them and seem quite well made.
Although over time the stitching does seem to come undone ( apparently remedied in their newer ones) But i have crashed 3 times in them and they are still in "safe" working order.
Overall very good gloves if you like the full gauntlet style, leather is very soft and supple so long as you don't get it wet and then dry them on a radiator (goes like crispy bacon, does supple up again though)
They are well ventilated and will keep your hands cool so long as you are moving fast enough.
Overall... good gloves, little niggles like the rubber around the "dial adjustment" does come off after a while, and the sharp edges can be a bit painful but if you put some rubber gasket sealant around it id imagine this would work fine (have yet to try it on mine)

Cheers as always

Carl
