I use a pair if Alpinestar GP Tech, not sure how much they are but I think around the same price as the Knox ones.
I had a pair a 'Bargain Basket' specials I bought from J&S years ago for £40 before these and they did the job. Both gloves are summer gloves so offer little in the way of warmth but I like to be able to move my fingers in gloves. One thing I've always gone for in gloves is knuckle armour, preferably Kevlar.
I know from doing my job that when a biker comes off, your natural instinct is to put your hands down first. Unfortunately this usually results in broken wrists. You can't avoid this short of splinting your wrist before hand and that would result in no movement at all. As this isn't an option, I would look for gloves that offer protection on the parts of your hands that will rub in the unfortunate event of an off. parts where there its little flesh such as wrist joints, knuckles etc.
The advantage with kangaroo leather is that it's softer than normal leather, this it's reflected in the price. Whilst those Knox gloves look the part, I can't help thinking that this 'mechanical technology' it sports is a sales gimmick - saying that, I've never used any so can't speak from experience.
Try a few different pairs on. See what range of movement you have in them then shop around for the best price.
Hope this helps
