Maxi scooters

Aprilia SRV850 - unbelievably cool
Piaggio Beverly and others - great for both commute and longer rides, but certainly not as cool as the Aprilia

Massive storage space, easy upright riding style, often ABS, often can choose to go manual, fast, reliable and manoeuvrable

Many people who ride geared bikes have a snobbish downer on scooter riders. But that's their problem.

True. i dont know why scooter riders dont get the nods etc. i do every time weather they ride with L plates, scooter, or cruisers.

if i see you around i will give you the nod.

i like the gilera nexus 500 as a cheap second bike. my sports bike is very jumpy changing gears.

I ride a Peugeot Speedfight 3 Iceblade 50cc, i nod at other riders. Where i live there are a lot of bikes and they are all friendly and usually nod back.. but sometimes you get the occasional cruiser rider that is too far up their own arse that they look away in disgust at a scooter or sport bike. My friends dad rides an R1 and he says we all need to start somewhere and really quite likes my scooter, he thinks it's stylish and good looking :)

My Honda S-Wing is great for London. Use it mainly for work transporting my tools about with all that storage!

I have had a few nods off passer bys even though I am on a scoot but hey each to their own I'll get a better bike in due time as some comments here say you gotta start somewhere!
