Hi!

A little about me:
  • My first bike was a Honda Nighthawk 250.
  • I've had a motorcycle for 6 years but still consider myself a bit of a noob.
  • My hobbies are: video games (Portal, Bioshock, CoD, Red Dead, Assassin's Creed, etc.), recurve archery, small caliber rifle target shooting, TV shows (MLP:FiM, Doctor Who, TWD, BSG, LOST, Star Trek TNG, Ancient Aliens, Law and Order SVU, Criminal Minds, etc.), and exploring on my motorcycle!
  • I love animals and being in the woods.
  • I'm trying to get my Ph.D. in Chemistry
  • I live near the foothills of the lovely Rocky Mountains, but I'm from the Appalachian Mountain region of the U.S.
  • My channel is pretty random, but I like to talk about things I care about and also conspiracy theories.
  • I'm new to video editing, but I'm having a lot of fun learning.

My first vids are a little boring (lack of riding) due to traffic, but I expect them to get better and a little shorter as I learn how to vlog better. Thanks for checking out my channel!!! Subscribe and give me feedback?

 
For Collins, I presume :D ??? Nice town, getting bigger and bigger - like Loveland, ever since my first visit there when I was 1 back in the early 80's ~_~ . Back then, everything, including Estes, were just small towns. I do miss those days in Colorado - before all of the Californians discovered it :( .....

Nice channel :) ! I disagree with you on the militarization of the police by just a degree. Look back no further to the North Hollywood bank shootout in '97 and then the recent no-more of the Brady Bill (scary, I remember when he got shot :p ~)... it's just matching apples with apples ~_~ . Uzis and Ak-47's are a no-match for anything ~_~ .....

I remember when that bank shootout happened. I had to cut so much out of that video, but basically I think police should have the same weapons that are available to the general public. The issue comes in when they elect to use that equipment in a disproportionate show of force, ya know? Also, I'm from a very rural area, so the problems that happen like with that Hollywood bank shootout and stuff, the laws generated in response to unique urban-type crime end up affecting people in small towns. Now small towns have all this useless military equipment (armored trucks and such) and they have to find a reason to use it within a year of getting it in order to keep it. It's just a bad recipe if you ask me.

Apparently I've lost my accent a bit (I've been told), but where I'm originally from it is very normal for people to have like an AK or an AR, several hunting rifles, and numerous handguns and there isn't all that much violent crime. But yeah, bigger cities have a whole different flavor, don't they? People just sort of angry and impatient. Lol it's not what I'm used to for sure! Are Californians the reason why stuff seems so hipster-y around here? Sometimes I think I'd get along better in Wyoming! ;)

On the way out to Estes, a lot of those houses nearly got washed clean away by floods last season. Between that and wildfires, those poor folks just can't catch a break.

Hey welcome to the forum! Great vlog on why you started riding. Do you use the youtube stability option on your videos or is it just my eyes?

I do not. I was actually confused by it. When I previewed what it would look like, it made all my subtitles go completely haywire and it looked much worse than if I left it off. So maybe someone could explain that feature to me.

Something I'd like to see is a ride down the Big Thompson Canyon. Pretty much every year of my young life was looking forward to that first trip up the canyon each summer on the family vacation and after what happened... I haven't been able to see it yet :( . There are the stories of the great flood back in '76 and to a lesser extent the one in '82... I remember what it looked like in the valley when they reopened Fall River Road after the Lawn Lake Flood (everyone compared it at the time to what it would look like after a nuclear war with Soviet Union). Anyways, I'm starting do ramble :p , but I request a motorcycle ride up the canyon, if possible ^_^ ~.....

Yes! I have been wanting to do that. Take a little trip out to the Dam Shop maybe. We will see how the weather is. It's been stormy lately. So it may have to wait until spring. But if a nice weekend opens up I'll try to get some good footage for ya! :)

Thanks! and likewise subbed. I can't wait to check out your gun reviews too. I've been considering doing an introduction to semi-auto pistols geared toward people unfamiliar with guns.

Do you have a channel BlueRidge? Is your name from the Blue Ridge mountains? I'm from West Virginia (which a lot of people mistakenly believe has the Blue Ridge Mountains because John Denver wasn't so great at geography) but I lived in Sweetwater TN for a little while too. The Appalachians are the best mountains!!! :)

If you aren't a fellow hillbilly then I guess just disregard all of that. lol.
