intros and outros?

I like making cartoons/stop frame animations so I made a little cartoon with this free programme I got a couple of years ago called 'pencil'
It's just a few seconds and starts of quiet getting a little louder, it's so people can get the volume right before the main video starts really.

Pencil eh? Might have to check that out. I like your intro.

It's a great programme for SFA cos you just paste in each picture to each frame and export it. Simples!

Cartoons obviously you draw into each frame (you can still copy and paste stationary objects) and export. I tend to put in sound and other effects over the top in iMovie. It's a great programme although you can lose hours trying to get stuff just right!

I re-did my intro and outro with my re-branding recently.

I think it's pretty effective if I do say so myself, short and to the point.

Was it over undue traffic to one video?

I'll make a new thread on it soon, but one of the big issues was to do with traffic sources being from such a narrow group of people.

I'd have thought as a small channel you'd have limited traffic sources. People tend to have a niche channel, join a couple of niche forums and put links up...

You either need to avoid that or monetise when you're much bigger and have a diverse audience.

Example of a horrible intro would be CycleCruza, he's a complete idiot!

i agree with dan, don t exceed 10 sec

I ve recently played with Intros and came up with 2

(10sec)

(23 sec)

but in most recent vids i already got bored with it (10sec one) again

I do use the idea of an outro but not the same one all the time, i change the music, write a message, put my logo in, some spotlights maybe

as an intro i started with basically the same, some music, the vlogs topic etc.

I don t like 2 things "many" vloggers do

- having a "long" and always same intro will bore subs (imho)
- not having an outro and just finishing the vid, when you finish your sentences feels to the audience like someone yanked the carpet away under them
