- Name: Goatfather (Because I have children(kids), and they eat everything)
- Location: Reno, NV (USA)
- About Me: In summary, and probably the only place I will ever write some of this (bread crumbs). I'm a Father (2kids), husband, public servant, volunteer, and somewhere in the mix I have my own self awareness & persona. I grew up in an abusive, motorsports, military, law enforcement family, my "bio" Father set a lot of national records in the dragbike world. His character though is up for judgement, my step-father recently passed away he was a big part of my life & character (no sympathy needed, just writing). I got into AutoX, HPDE, and Drifting in the early 2000's and did that until around 2011. I've always been into bikes, just never got serious about riding until 2014. I've had a really nasty eye disease since 2006 that although caused me to be declared "legally blind" I have not allowed to prevent me from living. I enjoy leaving bread crumbs of my life be it through photo's, videos, writing, or peeing on a tree while camping. I enjoy helping people, even with all the ups & downs it brings me. I've been fighting depression for roughly a little over 2 decades without medication. Yet over the last handful of years it's mostly been a downhill (good) battle thanks to my wife, the removal of negative people from my life, and the induction of public service, volunteer work, and now youtube. I've been part of, and ran my own non-profits over the years. It's given me a very good understanding of people, and more so myself. I could go on, and on. I think that will suffice. Glad to be here.
- Why you started v-logging: I started with the idea to just record videos for myself, family, and friends. I decided to share them on Youtube for fun. I told my wife "Hey maybe someone will like them". People started subscribing, and commenting, so I decided to put a little more thought & time into it. Now I am doing it for the original reasons, with the added benefit of meeting new people, and reaching out to the world. I now have a lot of things I'd like to do on youtube, ideas to help people, things like that. I don't really care about being famous, but I do want to make a positive impact on the world. Youtube is helping to show me some of the "correct" use for social media, in my own perspective. I am greatly thankful for it, and all the people I've begun to meet, and will continue to meet. I found these forums via a video Ghostninja (https://www.youtube.com/user/GHOSTNINJASD) did recently. Alright need to stop writing.
