Hi all.

All the best.

As far as I can remember I don't think you can blank things out maybe try putting a picture up but that would block the whole screen I think. If you want I will blank it out on my editing programe and send it back to you

as mister ops said above i dont think there is away on wmm and im not sure if you can place a image over the top and make it smaller to cover the clocks

I think RoadcraftNottingham is the resident expert in this area

But I doubt you could easily do it with WMM, think about getting some £30+/- editing software and you will have a lot more flexibility when editing videos.

Any decent editing software will let you do it.
Any decent editing software has multiple timelines that can overlap each other, allowing you to do picture in picture. That picture can be a black square that you can use to blank out your speedo.

Windows Movie Maker is not a decent editing software :P

But you never know, there might be some way or another.

I just downloaded the trial of vegas HD (because i really want to get this vid on youtube ASAP )wow where the hell do i start lol.

When I've needed to do it in Windows Movie Maker, as backward as it may seem I've just used a large wingdings letter in order to cover a dial or face.
So just add a caption, type out the alphabet, changing the font to wingdings, then keep the letter/icon you want. Up the font size big enough to cover your speedo. Ta-da.

This is for blurring out a face but the it's the same thing.

Hey guys,

Thought I'd throw in my tupence on this one. I use Anime Studio Debut (tenner from amazon!) to make my little intro - but you can also do a crude motion tracking with it and so can cover up anything you need to do - might be worth a look. :)

not that i am aware in movie maker.

you can do it in final cut pro X or vegas pro

Or upload it unlisted un edited and get someone you trust to edit the blur out.
