How The F Do You Lot Not Lose Your Tiny Little Memory Cards?

When I had one card it wasn't a problem. Just bought 2 more. How on earth do I not lose them the first time I go out? They're tiny!!

Any suggestions?

Thanks

1. try and keep it plugged in the camera I used them in the most. I am sure I am not the only one who has powered on only to hear the beeping noise that I dont have a micro sd card plugged in at all.

2. +1 on keeping them in a SD card adapter + case definitely helps

3. Go with a 64 GB one, so you are doing less swapping?

I like to run the camera all the time so I have 2 x 64 and 1 x 32. Next week I spend 4 days on Great Barrier Island with the bike. No mains power on the island means no way to run the laptop and clear files off the cards so I got a few...

I have a credit card sized holder for mine because I'm organised to hell.

@Marbro_za kids, he doesn't have a wallet. He uses a plastic money bag that he stole from a bank

Putting them in the SD adapter that comes with the card makes them larger to handle, slotting them in your wallet or between butt-cheeks keeps them close.

I like to keep mine in the adapters and since I wear jeans with chaps, I place the adapters in my 5th pocket and have them numbered so when I change-out I know what's been used and what hasn't.

I only have the one 64 gig card. Put your camera on Car DVR mode and just make sure you regularly take off interesting footage you want. Then you can just leave the card in there and it will record forever, writing over the old stuff once it fills up. No chance of loosing a card that never leaves the camera.

We have 5 action cameras in the house so there are a few micro SD cards kicking about. I'd love to say we're organised and have them all neatly lined up in an old Ferrero Rocher box we specifically set aside for storing USB drives and memory cards, but we haven't. Oh, sure, we have the box, and it's got the USB sticks and a couple of card readers in it, but if a card isn't in a camera then it could be anywhere. Except in the box.

I'd guess though there's at least a quarter of a terabyte's worth of cards not in cameras which may be on shelves, in cupboards, or parts unknown at any given moment. Generally we pull files from our cameras direct every day or two, and don't tend to switch cards unless the Drift's have done their "little thing" again. So we only realise we're a card short when it turns up in with the teabags or wherever. I do always have a spare in my bag though, in a SD adapter tucked into a little zipped pocket I'm guessing was designed for an MP3 player or something. Because my Ghost-S is in another of its 'Low Speed Card' phases.

I personally just have one card per camera, and never take the cards out. Ever. That way they never get lost.

No reason to take em out anyway.

Thanks all. I have been trying the wallet suggestion - three cards in there and so far after a few days they haven't fallen out and gotten lost so that's awesome. Cheers
