How Often Do You Post Motovlogs?

That's true. Even the big vloggers (100.000+) end up just rambling on about something alot of the time.
Seems like finding good topics is the hardest part of vlogging
Although some are impressivly good at keeping a schedule and pumping out good content.

I dont like the bigger ones who vlog and say nothing. Some of them just ride and swear. How they manage to stay popular is beyond me.

As a viewer once a week is very nice. Some of my favorites can keep me waiting a month sometimes. But they never disappoint with content!!

I think my taste in vloggers has refined and gotten more dissurning. The big vloggers with weak content bore me now. In fact some of them just sold out to capitslism and lost there edge. I unsubbed them long ago. But the purer ones I still cant get enough of.

I vlog because the camera is running; the camera isn't running because I vlog.
I bought my camera because of my [ex]housemate being in 2 accidents, one of which wasn't her fault and resulted in a bit of liability dispute [even thought it was a classic SMIDSY]

This is my reason too. No wrecks but have read posts from bikers who were hit and run. Doing vlog's will be something I try so I can participate in something I enjoy watching.

I commute every day so I am always recording. If I go out on the weekend, recording.

Before I started vlogging - I built up a nice library of footage to utilise and now try to have videos scheduled in advance. I have things like group rides etc just sitting there for those times I don't have something to say.

If you build up a buffer when you are on a schedule - you can afford the time to get better footage or have off weeks.

THIS^^
I like to do 1 every 4-5 days and as real said having a buffer of vids makes that possible, I have 5 vlogs ready and unpublished just incase something happens and also I'm no longer having to rush around just to get something on camera to post, This gives me time to relax, come up with better content, Spend more time editing it tighter and enjoy motovlogging, The last thing you want to do is turn it into a job that you will turn out to dislike!

Well, my goal is to be able to turn on the camera, talk & record for 7-10 minutes in one go, and then be able to use 90% of that footage. Minimal editing, and minimal work load with maximum output. ...but then again , that's just THE GOAL.

At the moment it's more like, two hours of footage, and only 5% of it being used and a whole load of editing :-/
I admire bloggers that can just talk and keep it interesting on one stretch. I'll get there some day though :)
but until then, I'll have to limit myself to 1-2 posts a week until I get better and quicker at it.

I try an hit it 2x a week. Usually evenings Monday and Thursday. It's my own personal schedule. If I have more to talk about I'll sometimes do a weekend video.

I do think time and day matters. I get less initial views during the day and on weekends. It makes sense since my analytics show l70% of my viewers are 18-36yo, so they work/go to school during the day and probably out with family/friends during the weekend.

I don't have a large enough sub base yet to post whenever I want and hit 301 in an hour. :p

I guess I am kind of an oddball. I don't expect anything from anyone. I figure if someone doesn't post for a bit they need a break. I myself try to post around once a week, sometimes I post more, but there have been times it was a couple of weeks without content. It really is a hobby, and I can't afford to spend more time on it than I already do!

I am completely swamped with video... and none of it is good for a motovlog. Sure there are bits and pieces here and there, but nothing good for a whole show.

I try and do something once a week, but I record every day. This puts me in the situation of always having too much footage and not enough content.

Too often is too much. Also a schedule doesn't fit with my idea of this being a creative pursuit. Get something good, put it up. Do it more than once a week and watch the view count fall :)

I don't usually have the recording running throughout my ride, so yeah, when I flip it on I just get my rant on and once done I turn it off. I can see the point of having it rolling like a dash-cam in case of any unfortunate event you have evidence.

I'm thinking about 1 per week until I get better and enough viewers/subscribers to justify the time/effort. Don't really want to start doing 1-2 min videos of some tiny thing that happens on the road which is an everyday occurrence. I'd prefer quality over quantity, just got to get the quality bit right first. ;)

I always record, then I get stuff for random compilations.

Not only that, my cam is my witness should anything happen.

They're not accepted as evidence here so I don't record all the time.

On the plus side it turns out you can't incriminate yourself with the same law though.

I heard that before, possibly from you. Bonkers really if it will clear up who was on the wrong side of the road as an example...

Privacy is taken very seriously in Switzerland.

I can kind of understand it too, I'm not the police and have no right to record other people.

From a viewer's perspective, I really don't care how often the channels I subscribe to put something out as there is way more content coming out on all the channels that I subscribe to than I can ever keep up with. With my favourites that I like to watch every single video from, I think one per week is enough and it doesn't matter which day it comes out.

I try to stick to the one per week regime myself, sometimes they come out sooner, sometimes later. I never pressure myself into releasing videos on the same day each week. They are ready when they are ready. :p;)

I've been trying for every Monday since I started, but I usually manage two a week. At least once a week is my goal.
