How Do You Side- Mount Your Gopro?

Just wondering how you guys mount your GoPro to your helmets.

I just use the standard arm that came with the camera, and the curved adhesive mount. The thing is, I find it very difficult to get the angle right- the camera is always tilting slightly away from the helmet. Just wondering if there are any tricks to having the camera consistently in the right position, and to ensure that it stays in the right position between rides.

Do you guys tighten the arms using a screwdriver or just your hands?

Also, how many of you guys tether the camera to yourself for added protection in case the mount decides to come off?

A light sanding of the faces of the arm can help prevent it slipping. Just enough to rough the surface. Necessary on Chinese parts certainly.

I just gave the helmet a good clean before mounting the adhesive mount and after putting it on the helmet, I waited 24 hours before I used it for the first time.

I tightened it with a screwdriver.

At the beginning I feared it might fall of, but I didn't tether it to myself. Before I go for a ride, I just make sure the adhesive is still tightly attached.

i have a chin mount i use 2 adhesive pads looks good to me and i used a screw driver for some of the joins not them all so i have some movement if needed. its all on my you tube channel if you fancy a look.

I don't side mount mine but know the exact mount you need...

Well turns out the site is either renamed or isn't around any more

Here's the info from my PP transaction

I definitely found this from one of the members on here, its a 3d printed mount that does what you want...I'll post a pic later. Mine broke when I put it on my KTM's swing arm
