How do you promote your videos?

I use Facebook and Instagram but never post vids or links to vids there. I do find If I post a bunch on forums I'll pick up views and subs strictly from my signature within the next 48 hrs, it's either very consistent, or very coincidental.

I've been promoting my IG a lot more than my YT channel recently because of limited time to sit down and edit... (IG is twowheeledwaffle! LOL...)

But normally I do exactly what Hippo does: I comment on other vloggers and start conversations. Typically, they comment back on something I've done, and if they're interested they may sub, which is cool.

I'm looking for vloggers on my channel which wil help you get subs yourself as I do promote you.
Am stringent on entry criteria at present though.

It's hard to promote videos per se without coming across as pushy. My way into this community involved watching hundreds of vlogs by other people that I liked and making PROPER comments on them, comments that showed I actually watched, comments that created relationships and engagement. As the people I watched got to know me they started to check me out - then a flow on effect of their watchers noticing their replies to me meant more people checked me out.
Apart from that make good content that you enjoy making - if you can't do that then probably pick another hobby.
And it is a hobby - those who rely 100% on income from this are fools - even those getting huge income for a short time will soon find it evaporates.
And lastly DON'T make comments on people's vids that show blatently that you didn't watch them and are only looking for subs. Personally that is a big put-off for me.
Today's idiot comment to me on my channel was from someone called Wheelie Biker49, who I've never heard from before, and who said:
"Please give me a shout out, I've been trying to build my channel for a year"
I had a look - he doesn't even have any content...

Networking is a great way to grow, it is a slow burn though, and still relies on you creating content others enjoy.... So content is key.... make regular entertaining content and you will grow! :-)
But you get nothing for nothing.... the majority of followers are creators themselves, grow friendships, and suddenly you'll get a perspective, you never perceived..... you'll gain friendships across the world... which is far greater than an increase in subs! :-)

There was i period were i would get those comments weekly.
I accepted them and reacted to them, but just told them to make good content.

Removing the comment make your commentsection look cleaner, but it is an interaction YT takes into their algorithm, so might as well use them for the greater good xD
