Hi from Ireland

Hi,my names Dermot from Northern Ireland.I just bought a contour HD and thought i'd join up to get help on setting up,editing,etc. I'm a total novice so any help would be much appreciated.

I had hoped to be able to speak while filming but the contour has no external mic for that....does anyone know if there are any made for it?

I ride a '10 KTM RC8R Akrapovic Limited Edition and a KTM 690 SMC supermoto.Heres a few pics....

Like i said in my reply i think your best bet is a dictaphone then syncing audio, however if you want a mic input on the camera then this is your option:

*edit* http://ifraggle.com/2009/07/09/tradingwarrantyforaudio/ looks a bit clearer. just snip the wires of the old mic and attach a jack

Hello buddy!!! yeah,got the finger out and joined up! It's all new to me dude,I need to find out more about what I can download for editing and adding music,graphics,etc.

Thanks so much for that link,really helpful.I'd prefer to try that rather than trying the dictaphone route tbh.

If your looking for Editing software. Best bet is Dload 30day trials. You don't get the full thing, but give you a good idea. Also look on YT for tutorials.

But just start with windows movie maker. Gets you started on the basics and it's really not bad! Did my first 15 or so vids with that!
