Hello all.

Some of you will have already read a few posts from me about some problems I was having, with your help they are now all sorted.
I dont have any videos uploaded yet but I'm hoping to get out over the weekend, my youtube name is pete86uk.
I made a new account up because the username was my full name which I didnt like broadcasting to the world (maybe this should be my first video topic!) So I'll have to re subscribe to everyone.

Anyway I'll post back as soon as my first video goes up.

So instead you broadcast your first name and year of birth? Combine with the location you'll get from your blogs, add in a sprinkling of superfluous information over time... you might want to reconsider using your above username.

Edit:

Dude within the first 2 minutes you gave enough information away to do an electoral roll search if I wait a bit longer I might be able to order up a copy of your birth certificate and get your parents names and occupations.

Not intending to be malicious but if you're worried about revealing your full name, you need to worry more about vid content.

1. hide in the noise, common/dictionary usernames are your friend.

2. Be non specific, we don't need to know your date of birth or where you live.

You've admitted it's a small town, you told me you swim and you told me the year of reg of your bike. If I wanted I could just ride there, looking out for your bike, or loiter at the local swimming pools. Sounds creepy, and that's cause it is!

Basically never let intimacy with a camera breach your own personal privacy.
