I currently Drive a 2013 Suzuki GW250L3, I sware it's the largest 250CC motorcycle in the market currently at 408 pounds wet... and how I handle the cold... Hmm that is a good question I might have to make a video on that where not a lot of people live in Nova Scotia and motovlog lol... 1 word... FAT Fat can be your saving grace and a hurt... I am warm in the winter but I can't run... Good trade off? Let's find out 
That is true, but down here in the deep south, it is starting to get cold now, but do not worry, mother nature can never make up her mind here in the deep south, so, especially here in Arkansas, it can be cold a few days, but then be cool, or hot the next few days after that. I know how that is to rely on public transportation. I did that before I got my bike and my car. I had to pretty much rely on their schedule of pick up and drop off.
