Luckily he apparently has his own film coming out in 2015/16, so I can watch that and fill in the blanks! Although doesn't he kind of die in the Wolverine film? Sort of limits the scope of his career...

Hes technically not deadpool in origins of wolverine he is still weapon X, as him and logan aka wolverine where test subjects, and a few others. He isnt known as deadpool until hes in the red suit int he comics.
