Many that have followed me since the beginning know that I want to get a bike and a license, but also know that I can't due to priorities. If anything, I need to upgrade my rig to the tone of 1500 and my software to the tone of 250 so I can add the new Sony action cam to the tone of 350, to my arsenal. Am I going around asking for money? No. I'd rather make my own.
And yet another one wants to make their living on YouTube just starting out. That is the wrong motivation. Everyone here started their channel because they wanted to have fun and share their lives / passion with others. Then some actually grew quite a bit and could pay a few bills!
I would employ you to check out socialblade. Here, a direct link to Jakethegardensnake's channel on that stats site:

Now check out the estimated earnings. Jake is, at least for now, the biggest motovlogger out there. Yet it is possible for him to bring in well below a 1000 dollars in a month. You can't live off that. He sells RHOK, and that in combination with his channel brings in enough. Please do not be tempted to look at the top end of the earnings scale. If I look at my own numbers you are closer to that low end than the high end. Also you can not expect to rise to his level in a short time. I myself am not a motovlogger yet, but I do take pride in what I do, and have 280 ish subs as of right now. You can research me on Socialblade too, and you will find out I am not in this for the money. If I was, I'd be gone like everyone else that has that mindset. This hobby is fun, sometimes hard work, but it always pays off. Pays off in interaction with fellow human beings that have the same mindset. The MotoVlog community is awesome, and supporting, even to one that can't ride just yet.
In short: You take YouTube up for a hobby or leave it alone. Because you are setting yourself up for a huge wake-up call once you start vlogging. You will start to get disinterested because no one seems to care about your videos, and fall off the face of YouTube like so many other money hungry fools. Or, you rise to the top because your videos are awesome, and everyone want's to watch them! Only one way to find out... Find a job, get some money, get the stuff you need and start sharing your passion!
