getting started/ kickstarter?

Well so long as it's not stolen or has a bunch of fees on it it looks like I don't need kickstarter to get a bike.... My Uncle told me yesterday "you want it? Take it home" so there's a bike sitting at my grandma's waiting for us to get the title from him and make sure it's clear. Yes I am saying my uncle is the kind of guy that would take a bike and hide it up in the woods if it was promised to him or something and the person backed out. Who knows if it truly is his.

BUT if it turns out to be true then I will have a decent starter bike... Decent being a bike that needs a lot of work and needs to be streetified to be legal again. All the lights were taken off of it at one point so that needs undone, well at least a headlight and tail light, which oddly it's cheaper to buy universal LED units than stock parts so why the hell settle for crappy old technology when you can have LEDs?? It's not an offroad light but I found a 5 inch light on amazon or ebay for $20, same for the tail light which I don't like where the stock tail light mounts anyways.

As for something else about it... the only hint I will give other than the pictures on my facebook is that it is THE Yamaha thumper that could easily throw me off the back of it if I'm not careful.

Yayy :) Here's to hoping the bike is legit...have fun!
thanks, the fun part (sarcastically) will be loading that 340lb monster up into the back of the 03 Dodge 2500 heavy duty with 35s on it that my parents own... That thing is so damn tall. I hope I start selling the hell out of the shotgun shell lights I'm making because I seriously need the money. I've got at least a $500 bill ahead of me just to get it running and street legal again, not too mention the things I'd like to do to it to make it safer. A 5 inch single leading shoe drum brake in the front is not going to cut it for stopping almost 700lbs.
If you check out my facebook page you can see it as it sits and figure out what it is :P I've also said a little bit of what I'd like to do to it on there. Supposedly these bikes are known for having so much torque that they suggest you don't ride them unless you weigh 240lbs+, there are accounts of these bikes throwing people off when they crank the throttle in 4th gear!!! I did find a cool video of someone racing one in brittain though.
