Getting off the ground...

Hi.

I am relativly new to all this (biking AND vlogging :D)
I got my channel, but would enjoy some advice. Editing, talking, topics, anything. Subs are coming slowly (46 subs in 7 months), so there is improvements to be made. In fact, there is always room to improve.

Yep, vlog what you want and don't worry about catering to everyone else. Not everyone will like the vlogs you do but that's not what it's about. Be who you are and they will come.

G'day mate. I just subbed you as I am in the same situation with my Youtube account.

Please feel free to sub me back as I am looking forward to getting to know you and your rides better and hopefully you will enjoy mine too. :D

Cheers.

Bill :-)

You probably have 47 genuine subs. Look at your views! 47 subs and every video has between 50 and 300 views. I think theres a lot of tubers with a thousand subs from people that never watch them. Take any popular youtuber....
Ariderslife 10,000 subs, most videos 5000 to 8000 views
C2W 14,000 subs, 4000 to 10000 views
Spicy 6,000 subs, 1000 to 4000 views (mostly closer to 1000)
Jake 25,000 subs, 4000 to 12000 views

These people have thousands of subs that never watch them. That is pretty pointless subs right? You on the otherhand have more views than subs. Like every one of your subs has watched your vids 2 or 3 times. If you can keep that going you will be the master of vlogging!

If you only want subs, then start spamming other peoples videos, subscribe to anyone and everyone, do video responses to everything. You will collect subs like theres no tomorrow. The trick is how to get them all to watch.

PROOF THEY BOUGHT THEM ALL

OHMYGODWHAT

Wow. Thanxs for the advice. (and the odd sub, now GO WATCH) :D

Actually I was expecting more on the lines of...

"You accent is horrid! You sound like a drunk pakistani with rocks in his mouth!"
and
"you call that editing? I've edited better stuff onto toilet paper in my bathroom!"
...
:D

Camera setup is a gopro with an external mic, so I can do just about any angle. I enjoyed my helmet series, and talking "into" the camera. I also enjoyed the end result, of me being in front of the camera, instead of the viewer being the driver.

Which angle you guys enjoyed the most?

haha :P We're a friendly bunch really.

As for the angles, I like having the angles move round a bit as you are doing, enjoying your videos :)

What really amazes me is that someone has heard a drunk pakistani with rocks in his mouth, or that someone bothers to detail the TP..

XD

Keep vlogs short and interesting.

Stick to the point of the subject or conversation with your subscribers.

Prepare before filming.

Get the best HD camcorder you can afford.

Be yourself, is the most important part.

That's a bit harsh no? He is not a native English speaker and yet he manages to speak better and more eloquently than many out there. English is a hard language for Portuguese people to speak without much of an accent, props to him for trying (and succeeding in my opinion)
