Hi!
As the topic is written, do u? Or don't u?

Is it possible to make a forum section with repairs, tips n trick, stuff like that?

It depends on the repairs needed. I have no garage, and no real shade where I have to park, so if it's an intense project I'll take it to a shop. Minor things that only take a few hours I'll do myself though. Once I get a place with a garage I fully intend to do 99% of my own work. It saves entirely too much money for it to make sense to take it to a shop for everything. I recently did my own tire change. Spent about as much on the tools as changing 1 tire would have cost, so I am already ahead on the price there. It was pretty easy too, took about 4hrs from start to end, which includes rigging a way for the bike to stay upright with no wheels. :)

I blew about $1,000 trying to fix my moto twice, so I've since given up (with the advice from my wife) and now let the professionals do it ;p ~

So far I've done everything myself. Valve check/adjust I might not do, but we'll see. I researched how to do it on a Ducati Monster when I was about to purchase one and it didn't look all that challenging. Haven't checked how to do it for the bike's I've owned though.

I try to fix it my self but I'm no mechanic. Atm I'm changing my steering bearing and fork seals. Was ganna do a "How to..." but... I don't know how to hahaha

Whoops! Good wife :) Where u with them when they fixed it?

Cool! Thanks :D

I like mechanic shops that are open so I can watch and learn from him. next time ill use my spy glasses to catch all of it for future reference

I do as much as possible.
Unless i dont have the tools, Then dont bother, you will just end up breaking stuff
Go buy them. There's a pretty good chance you'll still save money on that repair, and should it happen again you're already ahead of the curve.

i try and do all my own work unless its the carbs then i just let someone else do those because ant nobody got time for that. it also depends if i have the time to fix the issue or not sometimes its faster to take it to someone.

This, I broke my dualsport and it has been sitting for 7 months now. I can't bother to go out to the shops and buy the stuff I need. I mainly try not to break anything and so far it's giving me average results. About tools, I bought a new socket wrench kit since the one I had was too small to work on motorcycles. Next buy should be a torque wrench or torque adapter and the tools to cut and rivet the chain. I also need to buy the gauges to check the valve clearance. I'll do that once I get the torque wrench to properly work on the engine.
I'm pretty handy and like to fix stuff myself, I'm into electronics and computers and succeeded fixing a huge amount of stuff around the house and commercially for profit. I know motorcycles are a different animal but there is nothing a human can't learn to work on. It adds that I don't trust anybody touching my bike.
