Difference In Sony Vegas?

Well as most of you or all of you know Sony Vegas has like 10,000 different versions. Anyone know what the difference is in all of them? I was able to download Vegas 10 for a small price (free). But I was curious what I woils get if I bought 11, 12, or 13

I rock a free........version of Vegas 10. I've noticed there are SMALL things that can pop up and be annoying. Like say, you're looking around for video templates and assistance for your intro video? If they were made on 12 (the issue I ran into) it won't load properly and give you errors. You can still work with the stuff, but it's annoying. Like the man said, it's really nothing that will affect your vlogging quality, just small nuances you'll run into.

depends on what you're doing. I don't think anything short of full on professional production should yield too many differences. go for what's mot accessible, then work your way around what the program can't do. like i said, unless you're making a huge production number, you'll be fine.

They all do the exact same, with the odd feature enhanced, biggest difference ive seen is the layout is slightly different.

If you use Vegas, please, make sure you 'disable resample' on your clips.
I see it far too often.

Right Click > Switches > Disable Resample check.

There is no way (that I have found) to make it automatically do this.

yea the re-sample thingy really can mess up your mojo, i usually do that right away before even start to edit anything

Saves a load of processing time when editing regardless, considering a load of the footage we shoot gets cut out, why resample a full 30 minute clip?

If it's on the default smart re-sample, and your input and preview/project framerate are identical then it does nothing.

I always turn it off out of habit anyway, but in a lot of cases it does nothing.
