Did some vlogging today came back plugged my Drift in and imported my files,
I have it so my files copy over and are then erased from the camera.

but some were it got corrupt! first 3 clips came up fine but the forth will not open in CC or even play with media player
is there anyway to fix it? i was thinking it may be that it did not save the file properly on the drift in the first place? no way to check thought :(

Any help will do. :?

Happened to me with a 3GiB file. Just forget about it, delete and retake. No amount of messing with it made it to open.

Noo don't delete there is always hope! I had a corrupted file once. Took me hours but I was able to salvage it. Keep in mind, this took HOURS. So you need to ask yourself if it is worth the effort. I can't remember the specifics because I haven't had to do it in a while. Mine wouldn't even let me copy it onto my drive, so first I had to use a data recovery program to extract the file from my computer. But then the file wouldn't play or open. I then needed to use a video repair program to fix it. THEN my editing program didn't like the recovered file (would play it funny), so I had to get a video converter to convert the recovered file.

So I'm just saying, it's possible, but it takes ages and you'd need to look up a LOT of youtube tutorials. You have to ask yourself whether it's worth it or not.

It was only 40 mins of video, oh well I got 2 videos from the stuff that didn't corrupt :) (Hint: Check them out? 8-) )

I'm going to look in to it for future reference :)

Had this problem a couple of times with my Drift HD170 and then discovered that formatting the SD card each time before use stopped the files getting corrupted. Worked for me and hopefully will work for anyone having this problem.
