Cheesy Edit Help (replacing Moving Object)

Rom: one-one-six unashamed
I have no idea what to even ask for here in technica terms. I have Final Cut Pro x and I have a little project where I want to replace the general lee, durning a jump with a really cheesy edit of a picture (or video) of me "jumping" it instead...possibly with a. Few clips of the car in to add to the cheese effect
A: is that lega to do?
B: what do I even search tutorials for on doing that?

Not sure about legality, but try searching under object masking for tutorials. Masking requires patience and re-checking frame by frame (for nicest result). For object tracking I think you need additional plug-in. I sometimes do masking but not often cause I lack patience to do so nicely.

Masking is the same concept if you trying blur out/cover up number plate, you just don't need to do the blurring part.

Search how to blur a number plate in fcpx. Same principle applies.

It's easier to do if you have Motion 5 by the way.

Easy way to see if your package does it is to search for a howto on YT. For a really crude way, look up "how to blur number plates/face in (insert package name)" then swap the blur for a chosen image.

The really cool shit happens in After Effects or Motion 5 though ;)

If you do have a Mac, Motion 5 to buy legit is about £30/$50.
