Capable editing software for around £30?

I flip between adobe premiere elements and Corel myself

Very Interesting! I use Corel VSP X6, just got it about 2 weeks ago & have been chipping away slowly at the various features & options it gives us.

I also find GIMP 2.8 extremely handy - Nifty free open source software!

I'm 3 days into the trial of PD 12 .... Transferred funds to my paypal on the first evening though.... Now just gotta wait for it to clear....

Cheers TGB ... I saw your posts about it and had to trust the word of a Gentleman!

Just before that I tried AVS editor.... And it ate all my CPU/ram/HDD speed and sat there on top of it all napping!!

Only got a 2.3 CPU , 4gig ram laptop.... HP brand ... But PD12 burbles merrily along! ... And I'm finding it easy enough to pick up tricks, if I can't puzzle it out then a short step away is a explain vid from cyber link or a web user..

Quite chuffed dontcherknow!! :D

Finally!! .. had time and mental freespot to pay for, download and install PD12 Ultimate pack.... :D

.... and it took almost 30 secs of rummaging around the work space to remember the portable HD with all the footage on it .. including one ready for render then upload... is at home :( .... oh well... theres always tmw!

I use PD9 as I have some extras and am used to it but blurring plates/speedo's is a pain, hence the need for something like after effects that will actually self track any given point on the video.
As for noise on the drift mic, all my early videos were terrible no matter what I tried but it always poked out a little. So now it is tucked well inside my cheek pad and it is soooo much better, but I now need a nicer, quieter lid as mine is old, worn and quite noisey.

I would love to see a sample of how you track plates etc on PD12 as this might be the push I need to upgrade.

I was using a cracked version of MAGIX pro 2014... decided to try to go legit with software and bought power director 12. I could edit faster in MAGIX but power director I feel is a much better tool to make higher quality videos. Any of the major brands will probably be the same for the lower end prosumer software.

Just remember, anything you make out of copyrighted software is also a chargeable if found out.

I know a graphic designer who got charged for 30 designs they made using cracked Photoshop

I also use PowerDirector...version 11. I love it! If you keep your videos simple, PD has everything you need. Great software!

I might have to download this. I've only made four videos and I'm sick of movie maker already. I'm used to using adobe at college but I can't justify the price for my own use.

Some people have, er, managed to extend their free trial of Adobe. Not sure it would be mentioned in open forum, but those in the know may contact you directly....

Thats interesting to hear, if said people would happen to pm me the details of such 'perks' that would be awesome!
