Can I Be Honest???????

WMM is what Ive been using for a while. Just havent been to sure on what editing software to buy that is good, but wont break the bank.

I use Sony Movie Studio Platinum. It's basically Vegas without all the professional crap you won't use like fancy surround sound settings. Once you learn it, the suite is pretty simple. Has a lot of the same features as Corel, but it actually finishes exporting (@#$%^ Corel).

For basic trim of videos and editing, I'm using Wondershare Video Editor. Haven't found anything easier than that. Will be learning Adobe programs soon enough but for now, this does all I need.

Sup ladies & gents,

I know the hardcore vloggers use adobe or final cut. Which is great and those that take the time to edit their vids can really make them standout. I applaud you all. That being said, for simple and fast edits, especially when you are starting out.. man, I gotta say goprostudio and moviemaker get the job done- that is for simple and fast edits only.

Currently, I am using he two. I have the trial version of Adobe Premier and I am learning it.. but I assume it will be weeks or month or two before I can edit anything substantial on adobe, as I only have about three hours a weekend ( Sunday evenings) to dedicate to editing, and at this point- learning how to edit.

That's all folks, just my 2 cents.

Hey, im using the Movie Maker myself and agree with you on the ease of use and getting the job done. One thing that occured to me tho not related to actual editing or anything like that is the quality of a video after rendering, whilst the settings are set to match the original file, seems like its not doing to great of a job there, videos come out much more pixelated than what I would expect. :(

Apparently Sony Vegas is relatively easy program to use compared to Adobe and gives you much more to work with editing wise.

I use gopro studio and Imovie. They do the job well and on my budget thats what I need.
In the future I see an upgrade. But priorities !!

I'm Using Sony Vegas Pro 11. When I was just recording vlogs on my laptop I used Movie Maker, but Vegas works better for the motovlogs. I'm still kind of a dummy as far as getting good with it and my computer is old. It will crash if I try anything better than 720p. I just got a promotion at work, though, and I'm looking into a new computer.

I use Adobe Premier Elements 13. Wasn't that expensive, there are lots of tutorials on how to do different things and it's quite versatile. Although it comes in handy to make your videos stand out more differently than others to be noticed so maybe a higher end editing program will allow for that.

Check out my channel I have a whole playlist with a bunch of tutorials short and to the point on editing with premiere ;)

I just recently switched to Premier, but before that I'd cut up clips using Quicktime and then assemble everything in iMovie. You can do a lot with "simple" applications. For me Premier just makes it all a bit easier plus it has Multi-cam Sequences.

I use after effects and premier. I pay for creative cloud because iMovie just confused me and it took way longer to edit on that. But, I am fairly familiar with "pro" editing software, although it's been a few years since I really used any of them

I used to use Windows Movie Maker but wanted a little more control over the video and the ability to blur faces and number plates so went with Sony Vegas 10. Takes some time to get used to but once you do, you'll never go back.

That's all I use...gorpo edit and movie maker!

I'm using PoweDirector 14. I used to use WMM, it is a great and simple tool for editing video quickly. No doubt about it.

I completely agree that good content is better than the final edit, but, I struggle to watch a video for long where someone hasn't put at least a bit of effort in to make it flow. For me, the quality of work tells a lot about a person.

At the end of the day you are making a product and a brand, and if that brand is not polished, or at least defined with a style, then viewers won't buy into it for long.

If you can spend 50 bucks a month I suggest getting the Adobe Creative suite, then you have access to every Adobe product. Plus if you are a student I think you get a discount. that's what I use.
