Camera Placement

My excess cable is behind the cheekpads. I plug the cable in to the cam, run it the shortest route to the helmet and loose the excess round the back and behind cheek padding. Usually have the cable exiting right, and the mic on the left.

Mine went on the right side because my bluetooth is on the left.

I think most of the time it's better on the side of the oncoming traffic.

I have tried side of the helmet but for enduro filming it always got caught up on branches etc. I have switched recently to chin mount, for street and off-road. Much happier now, I also think it provides a more unobstructed view from the riders perspective.

My 2 cents.

ok, again in a way i cant fuck it up

Chase has a vid on this. Run the cable behind your cheekpads and then stuff the excess cable into a recess at the back of the helmet. It takes a bit of improvisation but it works on both my helmets

I'm another vote for helmet chin mount. 1 you can see if shoulder checks are done
2 if an incident leads to a dismount from the bike you still see what's happening
3 to motovlog you need a mic

I have 2 cameras both on my helmet. Gopro battery life is no good so the drift can easily be activated when the gopro turns off

and the mic? do you have to swop that out too?
why not just get another gopro battery? or battery pack?

Gopro chin mount for me, POV is great. however once upon a time I did use a side mount on my drift.
