Camera Placement

I'm using a chin mount with my Gopro on my Biltwell Gringo helmet. I tried side mount with gopro and it was a nightmare since the helmet became unbalanced :(
 
Helmet... chin mount is cool view... I have a modular helmet so I have mine mounted on the right side of my helmet since my Sena headset is mounted on the left side.
 
I use a GoPro chest mount most of the time for my primary camera. If a higher perspective is needed, I chin-mount on my helmet. Chest-mount is preferred for me because I move my head around a lot while riding... seems I can't simply glance to the side, have to turn my head.
 
I have mine on the side of my helmets, but I'm too tall and it's hard to get the cockpit and the horizon in the shot at the same time. So tomorrow I'm trying out my new Proshot chin mount.
 
I have a chin mount with my GoPro. If you plan on placing a sticky mount anywhere, I would suggest using a bit of epoxy glue to stick it there permanently, that way you can avoid it falling off. I don't like mounting it on the top of the helmet as it is ugly.

Drifts Ghost is always going to be the best on the sides.
 
I'm a big fan of the chin bar mount or top mount. Although there is the illusion of stability when it's mounted to the side and you have a bit of helmet in the shot.
 
On top of the helmet is way too high. It makes me feel completely detached and it kinda looks weird towering over all the other vehicles on the road. But like most things, after a video or two I barely even notice it anymore
 
Camera position is dependent on what you like. I have 2 different helmet and one of them has a chin mount gopro setup and the other has a side mount drift camera setup. I like both. The main thing for me as a viewer is I feel like I need to see enough of the bike to feel engaged or I get uninterested. I don't like the top mount because it gives that floating above the road feel to the viewer.
 
I have my Sony mounted on the side of my helmet in a skeleton case. I should review that position with one creveat. If a stone ever hits it it's DONE. I am too cheap to get that lens cover for it... Watch... in a week I will be back on the forum that my AS100V died an untimely death... Should have bought that 20-30 dollar lens cap ya moron!
 
I mounted my Drift on the right of my helmet and I only have a bit of the image cut off by the helmet. It's just the set-up I find most aestetically pleasing, given the Sena on the left balances out the 'things stuck to my helmet' look.

For vids I watch, where the camera's mounted doesn't put me off watching really, although the on top of the helmet can feel a bit 'floaty' after a while, and I don't think I've seen a vlog done entirely from a bike-mounted camera.
 
Mine goes on the helmet for the most part, Right side as well since the buttons are accessible that way.

Sometimes I'll toss an extra one on my machine to get a different perspective but that's not often as I lost a camera that way. sadface.
 
Finally added in my mic wiring yesterday,
Now im picking up alot more wind noise.


What do you guys do for the wiring?
