Camera Mount On Shoei Rf-1200?

Anyone else out there have this helmet? I'm having trouble finding a mounting location. This helmet have angles along the areas that would normally be smooth. Which is keeping the gopro mount from sticking to the surface.

I have mine right of center, with a couple arm pieces to put the camera right in front.

thats the new buckles that they sell. the grey rubber piece is what they use instead of the white lock that needs to be tethered to a screw. Its all part of the buckle now. I like it a lot more. It blends in with the rest of the system and you can use a M4 bolt instead of the giant thumb screws that come with the mounts.

i used a modified mount and extra tape for the chin for awhile, but it was a little wiggly, and ended up coming loose once. so i decided to relocate it to the side and use a bunch of adapters, its the best spot at the moment. but i really like this photo above my post...more money to spend i guess

Hellmounts makes the mount that I use. I'll do a little review of it once I get moved into the new place.
its the same one that was posted from that 3d printing site. i went ahead and bought one when seeing this thread. they look good

Awesome, that 3D printed mount is just what I need. I ordered one. Ditching my side mount of hinges and bolts for this.

You can get a 3D printed offset bracket too which would work great with that mount and would allow the camera lens to be bang center on your chin! :-)

I have my setup shown in the "show your setup" thread that's bouncing around here somewhere.

I don't get TOO much wind noise with my setup, but it does hold my visor open a crack...which I don't mind and it covers my vents in front, but I have an HJC CL16 and the vents are more decorative than anything anyway.

The one I have will fit any lid with a chin bar.

This one.

Of course, it's not as tidy as the 3D printed one, but you can remove it and put it on a new helmet much more easily.

Woah, no they are definitely not the same. I bought one of Disillusioned's mounts and it didn't fit right, and didn't come with a pad. Lead time was terrible and there was little communication. THEN I bought one from Rob over at HellMounts... Totally different product. Came with a pad, they said it's warrantied, and it fits way better on the helmet than the Shapeways mount did.

I'd buy another one from HellMounts in a minute if they made one for my RPHA 11 also
