Brighton Burn Up (Sunday 9th September 2012)

It was a great day all. Good to see familiar faces and good to meet new ones. Brighton was a bloody traffic light nightmare. No town needs that many pedestrian crossings ffs. I've done more filtering today than I have the rest of my riding career. The M23 & M25 were really bad and loads of bikes were going up between cars both sides. The wind really got up on the way home so I'm aching all over from fighting it.

What a journey, what a day! Deffo agree there are to many crossings, was fun seeing the world from a pillion position, my ass doesnt thank me though! Cheers everyone for a great day, deffo going again next year!

Fantastic day and a really good laugh.
Shame about all the traffic, I must have been filtering from the time we left Brighton till the M40 junction?!! Wtf was that all about? And on a Sunday too?

I'm a bit achy now though, ended up travelling just over 365miles but would do it again to have the chance to meet up with such a brilliant bunch again :-)

Suppose we'll have hours of footage to keep us going through the dark winter's nights though, was great to see a sunny sky for once .
 
I had fun and it was very, very nice to meet you all and to put some faces to the voices.

Sorry I abandoned everyone at the end, but my bike was overheating badly, and I was worried it was gonna do a big slippery wee (again) :evil: :shock: :roll:

Feel pretty bad about it, especially as you were all so patient earlier.

Great times otherwise though!!

was an awesome day! :P thank you to all the people i was with who made it epic! one of the funny moments tho was when skinbeatersam's bike had a weee! haha! hope your bike is all ok now. i now have a ton of footage to go through.. but that can wait till my butt stops being sore! :D

It was pretty funny. I just hope no one slipped over in it.

It nearly did it again on the way back. It doesn't like sitting in traffic.

Bike's OK though, provided it's moving and got air going over it.
 
I had a great day, though after 15 hours on the bike, my arse is a little raw!

Huge thanks to everyone who rode with us and back, and to those who met us in Brighton! I did see a couple of vloggers (blahdeblah included) as you rode past out parked bikes (in the middle of the road!)

Today had it all, from trolling old people, to filtering, and riding through the centre of London at night (breathtaking)

It was overcrowded, to much traffic, to many peeps and just to hot but it was still so much fun!! :)

I saw peeps when we were heading up to Devils Dike (Extreme and Liz I think?) I missed peeps by a few mins when we were taking a toilet break for Maggie and she was queuing (Ginge Furious and spicey and ..and???

OMG, it was just to hot. The Shandy at Devils Dike was off the hook. Being that thirsty and that hot it was really the nectar of the gods type thing ;)

I fecking Loved Sunday but I pulled a sickie off work (and that is unheard of tbh) just to recover!

Bring on the next one, but we ALL have to have a meeting place so we can ALL ride down to Brighton TOGETHER!!

Deal???

I'd love to have gone, I'm new and not good in social situations! xD Also this one was a little too far to travel on a 125. I'm in North hertfordshire

i totally agree! we need to ALL meet up and ALL ride down together next time! :D

May sound like madness but , how's about a winter meet?
I've been to loads over the years and the roads are so much less packed with grockles than at this time of the year?
We'd get Brighton all to ourselves too and fish and chops tastes better with frost on top ;-D

I was thinking this. I enjoyed the day, but it was just far too full. Maybe sometime in Autumn, like October so it isn't too cold??

This way the pubs and all will be less busy, hot food will taste nicer, and we get to get there in less time, and actually spend some time doing something. (Plus my bike won't over heat if I can't afford to fix the broken fan)
